PARSOL Deliverables - Regulation & Licensing Online

This project is focussed on delivering a web-enabled licence and regulation approval application submission and processing system. This e-enables many of the routine interfaces between businesses and local authorities and makes the determination process for those applications more transparent to the public. As part of this work an analysis of current practice and procedures for processing such applications was carried out and suggested best practice process diagrams have been made available to all local authorities.

Wandsworth Borough Council have now taken ownership of this product, and have entered into a commercial partnership to provide support, maintenance, and further development of the product.

Now renamed Regalion (short for Regulation and licensing Online), the updated and enhanced version of the original PARSOL software will only be made available to authorities who have entered into an annual support and maintenance contract. The support and maintenance contract will be with Wandsworth’s chosen commercial partner, Cintra Corporation UK Ltd and the benefits of purchasing this contract will include:

  • Full membership of the Online Licensing User Group
  • Help desk support service (by both telephone and email)
  • Automatic receipt of new releases containing both amendments and further functionality

The product licence will be provided on a free-of-charge basis and there is a modest annual charge for support and maintenance.  A proportion of the support contract fees will be assigned to future enhancement in accordance with priorities set by the User Group once the User Group has reached the necessary critical mass to support such development. Enhanced versions of the product will only be available to members of the User Group

Further information on support and the User Group is available on the PARSOL Licensing area of the Cintra web site at: http://www.cintra.com/uk/uk_parsol.html

Online Demonstrator

A demonstration of the features of the latest software release, which is only available to authorities who have entered into an annual support and maintenance contract, is available via the Cintra website at:

If you are a local authority user, and want to be given access to this demonstrator, please contact Aidan Naughton from Cintra at aidan@cintra.com

Back Office Connectors

Whilst PARSOL Online Licensing can function as a standalone system, it will only deliver the full transactional benefits though connection to your local authority back-office system. Connector software will need to be provided by your supplier. A number of connectors between the PARSOL Online Licensing system and back-office systems are available, being tested, or in development. For the latest details on the status of the connectors available from some of the leading suppliers, please visit: http://www.parsol.gov.uk/connectors.html
