PARSOL Consultancy Register

Welcome to the PARSOL Consultancy Register. The register presents a list of those companies approved by PARSOL to deliver consultancy services based around the PARSOL e-Planning Service Delivery Standards.

The companies whose details are published on this register have been through a formal approval process administered by the PARSOL team to ensure their capability in providing a quality service to local authorities. This has included written submissions followed by panel interviews and referee approvals. Suppliers on the register have also agreed to abide by a code of conduct and principles specified by PARSOL.

The service that these companies have been assessed as holding a capability to provide are summarised as follows:

To conduct an assessment of the current e-planning services being provided by a local authority in relation to the PARSOL e-Planning Service Delivery Standards (utilising the published Quick Assessment Guide) and giving an independent measure of compliance;
To advise on the PARSOL products that could be utilised to improve the level of compliance currently being achieved by the local authority;
To help devise an action plan utilising both PARSOL and non-PARSOL products that will expand the services offered by a local authority in an efficient manner in line with various e-planning related guidance and initiatives.

Whilst PARSOL would encourage local authorities to use the services of the companies on the Consultancy Register, PARSOL recognises that other suppliers can also provide local authorities services to help them implement e-planning. In particular, suppliers of commercial planning and regulatory software systems have been excluded from the Consultancy Register owing to the need to ensure the provision of fully independent advice and guidance. Councils should feel free to seek advice from such suppliers as considered appropriate.

Please also note that when engaging a consultant from the Consultancy Register, all contractual and financial arrangements are made directly between the appointing local authority and the selected supplier.
