Peter Pendleton & Associates Ltd provides high level technical planning and process advice. The consultancy has a diverse client base from local authority, government department(s) and the private sector. PPA conducted the baseline Planning Website Survey for England and Wales in 2003, which was published by PARSOL, and have also completed a survey of regulatory services for the PARSOL group. PPA has been commissioned by the Office of Deputy Prime Minister to repeat the Planning Website Survey for publication in December 2004 and the Scottish Executive has commissioned PPA to conduct a baseline survey of planning websites in Scotland. Our work on planning web site surveys and the 21 Pendleton Criteria has been adopted as best value indicators in England and Wales. PPA is also working with the Planning Portal on its Breakthrough Project and has recently undertaken a web-based survey and appraisal for the Ordnance Survey.

Pricing

The company policy is to bid for fixed price work. This has two advantages: firstly, the Council is aware of the exact cost of each project and secondly, an automatic penalty kicks in for non-performance, i.e. any extra days required are at the expense of the company. This policy ensures projects are delivered on time and on budget.
