PARSOL Consultancy Register
rol
Introduction |
 |
rol has an extensive background in the delivery, rollout and support of ICT projects in the local government sector. The company has been active in the Planning service area since 2001, when it assisted the Welland Partnership in the realisation of fully transactional planning services online.
rol’s consultative methodology is based on those used in CRM and the Working with Business National Project. This approach has been proven to be highly successful in the delivery of rol’s Priority Services Workshops, in which experienced rol consultants work alongside Local Authorities to develop practical action plans which unite the authority’s own strategic vision with the work necessary to meet required standards.
The rol e-Planning Service Delivery consultancy programme comprises the following phases:
- Initiation
- Identification of objectives
- Assessment of existing services
- Analysis of shortfall
- Analysis of impacts, constraints and dependencies
- Formalisation of Action Plan
- Final review and signoff
With a track record of delivering e-Planning solutions to Pathfinder and National Projects, rol is also well placed to provide ongoing implementation project management and support.
Price guidelines
rol has extensive experience in the delivery of e-Gov services consultancy to Local Authorities. The cost of a complete consultancy programme varies considerably from one Local Authority to another, depending on the state of readiness of the authority. We therefore provide tailored quotes for each of our customers, following an assessment of their individual requirements.
Company Background
rol was established in 1996 when it first provided the local community of Rutland with an interactive online portal. Over the following years, the portal was expanded to embrace the local county council’s A-Z services, and by 1998, the Rutland On Line community portal was extended to form the Welland Partnership portals – a group of five Local Authorities spanning four counties.
rol has built on its reputation as a leading provider of community portals, and now works with Local Authorities on many other aspects of their electronic services. The company is well recognised for its knowledge and understanding of the e-Gov agenda, and has been actively involved in a number of the National Projects, including Working With Business, PARSOL and LAWS.
